Pest Control
August 01, 2020

Spiders, wasps and ants can really put a damper on our enjoyment of outdoor spaces during the summer months.  Spiders can create a real mess of cobwebs – especially for waterfront properties.  For some, wasps can pose a life-threatening allergic reaction.  Ants, in particular carpenter ants, can create long-term structural damage that can cost thousands of dollars in repair.  Luckily, we have a solution to control these unwanted pests so you can get back to enjoying the great outdoors.

Our general pest control application is not species-specific and, therefore, helps to control spiders, wasps, ants as well as a variety of other insects.  We use a pyrethrin, plant-based product that is safe for people and pets.  Our exterior application is essentially a full spray application from roof line to foundation.  We also spray any decks, railings and outbuildings to ensure a bug free property.  In addition, we clean up and maintain any existing cob webs to improve the look of your home/cottage/business.  Exterior sprays require doors and windows to be closed and take about an hour to dry.

Depending on the insect, location of nest and time of year, an interior pest control application may also be recommended.  Interior sprays require pets and people to be out of the house during the application, which can take about an hour depending on the size of the property, as well as a four-hour period following the application to allow sufficient dry time before returning to the home.

Our pest control services include both one-time (on demand) service as well as seasonal packages (continual service).  Our seasonal exterior spray package includes 3 exterior sprays per season in May, July and September.  As the application lasts about 8 weeks on average, our clients find this to be the right combination to carry them through the season.  Our comprehensive home protection plan includes the same three exterior sprays as the seasonal exterior spray package in May, July and September, any required interior sprays (i.e. for ants in kitchen or carpenter ants), emergency insect services in between spray appointments (i.e. wasp nest on patio) as well as rodent control services.  Rodent control services include the set up and monitoring of rodent control devices throughout the season and late fall when rodents are trying to make their way back indoors for warmth through the winter months.

All in all, our pest control services allow you to maximize your enjoyment of your outdoor spaces, keep you safe and protect your home from damage.
